Your goats will need protection from the elements that includes adequate ventilation. A simple three sided lean to run in shelter works quite well. If you are lucky enough to have a barn, or you build one, goat areas can be partitioned off inside. There are goat shelters made out of about anything your imagination can dream up… pallets, tarps, recylcled kids playhouses and plastic barrels. All work fine if it provides a roof over their heads and protection from the elements.

Whatever you choose, good ventilation is a must as well as ease of cleaning. A smart shed for large paddocks or fields includes skids on the bottom so they can simply be moved to a new area.
