Sioux was the first Nigerian Dwarf goat I purchased. Yes, a buck! While breeding horses for 20+ years, my favorites were always the stallions, so I guess a natural draw for me. The influence of the buck is very important to a herd, so my search began there and I have chosen does to compliment and enhance my buck’s qualities. Yes, he’s horned and I’ve not had one problem with him attempting to hurt another goat with them. Has he gotten stuck a few times in the fence? Yes. But he stands patiently while he waits for me to unravel his horns from the fencing. A true gentleman, he was bred in hand his very first time out.
I acquired Sioux as a weanling and purchased a wether to come along as his companion. He has been a gentleman, smart, easygoing and has developed into a very handsome buck with outstanding looking horns!
